Meet Lauren DAngelo, MSW, E-RYT 500, YACEP

Lauren D’Angelo is a veteran yoga instructor, a marketing consultant for clients in health and wellness, including Yoga Alliance, the host of "whereimat" podcast, and the founder of Lola Yoga and Wellness.

As an E-RYT 500 and YACEP, Lauren has been a yoga instructor for over 18 years, honing in on her technique as an instructor at esteemed businesses like Under Armour, Oakley, the Boston Common, and Yoga Reaches Out. Inspired by her work with 02X, an organization training and educating our nation's heroes, Lauren returned to school in 2020 to complete her MSW in social work. She brings her knowledge of yoga and of mental health to provide an all-encompassing practice for your health and well-being. Lauren’s technique also aims to help those affected by trauma, such as PTSD, panic, and anxiety disorder.

Lauren resides in Boston, MA, where you can find her hiking with her dogs Truman and Lincoln, reading a good book, or hosting her podcast "whereimat”, where she introduces listeners to the teachers who have inspired her throughout her life, both on, and off, the mat.

Yoga & Your Mental Health

When stress exists in your body, it affects your mental and physical health, resulting in tension, disrupted sleep, weakened immune system, anxiety, and fear. Yoga and mindfulness are scientifically proven to help reverse the effects of stress and help restore a state of peace and contentment. At LY&W we use the physical practice of yoga to create strength and flexibility in your body, and mantras, story-telling, and messaging to create mental and emotional strength in your mind.

Our Yoga Technique

After 100 hours of teacher training with Baron Baptiste, Lauren went on to study with YogaThree and the Radiant Yoga School, in Boston, MA, for her 300 hours of teacher training. In blending both of these different Vinyasa style practices, Lauren incorporates each element - earth, fire, water, air and space- into her teachings. Lauren is known for her creative, fluid sequences, story-telling, and messaging. Her classes are an active, powerful, movement-based vinyasa, crafted in her own unique style to incorporate strength, stretch, and mindfulness.
