why yoga?

 

I’ve been active my entire life. Some of my earliest memories are playing outdoors, enjoying nature, and fresh air. In high school, I was an athlete, and in college, I found my love of running.

Yoga came later on in life for me. While working in Corporate America, and going to school at night earning my MBA, I hit my first bought of burnout, and soon after found my way into a yoga class.

My first class was an experience I will never forget, and I knew instantly that this practice was something I was supposed to find, and share. I began regularly practicing in Boston, MA, and was able to manage my anxiety, noticed an overall increased sense of happiness and gratitude, and I was better able to find space between stimulus and response.

Soon after my first class, I set out on a journey to learn to teach and share this practice with as many people as I could. The practice of yoga offers you so much more than physical flexibility.

My goal in creating Lola Yoga is to be a resource. Here you can find my weekly classes and workshops, read my blogs and listen to my podcasts, and even book a private yoga session or corporate event with me.

I will share my knowledge of yoga, mindfulness, and health and wellness with you openly.
